Performing Opportunities
Recitals usually take place twice a year and provide invaluable experience for learners who get to play a song or two in front of a supportive audience of other students and their families.
Students learn firsthand the sort of preparation that typically goes into a live performance. We also talk about what it takes mentally to play live, working through strategies for overcoming any initial nerves.
Importantly these Recitals allow learners to feel a part of a wider, like-minded guitar playing community.
There have also been other opportunities that I've organized like open mics and farmer's markets where students have taken their guitar playing out of
their practice space at home and into the local limelight.
